A Tea Party By The Fire And A Tiny Embroidery

Welcome to our cozy tea party by the fire!

Hazel burned the scones so we can’t have those, but she made sure to bake her old stand-by cinnamon buns so we shall nibble on them instead with our tea. The cinnamon buns are hot and gooey with melted butter and brown sugar in all the right places. I can hardly wait to try them, can you? She made sure to set you a place at the table right across from me. So, it’s a party of three… you, me, and Hazel.

Hazel will sit in her rocking chair and continue her stitching. She has chosen a lovely linen cloth to stitch on, and a silk embroidery thread. Mice have wee hands and are widely known to be the most exquisite seamstresses! Hazel sews clothing as well but this little project is a sampler and will end up being framed on her wall. She has chosen a pattern of tiny daisies and leaves.

Have you ever tried embroidery? I would love to try it.

I have a little surprise to share with you next week! I’m starting on a new cottage/shop build and I’ll have made a ton of progress by next weeks blog! It will be available for purchase when it’s finished!

I’m so happy you came for tea today! Now for a nap, I think. I have a purring kitty curled up next to me that’s making me very sleepy.

I’ll see you next week my friends,

~ Jenna
