A Tudor House- A Little Personal Project
Well hello! I’ve missed you! How have you been? I’ve been a bit all over the place with projects up to my ears this summer, in mini and in real life. So of course I thought I’d add one more to the list and I thought you might want to see?

This lovely Tudor dollhouse is a Facebook Marketplace find. I wanted a quick(ish) renovation that wasn’t too involved.. famous last words, I know… to make into a house for my little felted mice. I always build my own dollhouses because fixing other people’s mistakes isn’t fun for me, but this house was so straight and carefully constructed that I decided to bring it home with me. It does need plenty of work to make it fit my vision, but the bones are excellent and will save me time.
So, what do you think? Are you a fan of the Tudor style? I’ve been scouring Pinterest for ideas and I have a bit of a mood board I’ll share with you once I’m ready to get started on it. Until then, here are some pics of the “before”.

It came with a few nice pieces of Victorian style furniture that I’m very happy to add to my collection. It also comes with a rather romantic story, which I’ll have to tell later.

Needless to say it will be a very loved little house. And, I need to get making a few more mice to live here, as well as some to sell. So that’s in the works too. A little family of my mice were just adopted and are now living their best life in a sunny studio of a fellow miniaturist. So, my one remaining mouse needs some friends and I’d better get going on that!
Hazel (my remaining mouse) is also in need of a few pretty dresses and since I’ve found some tutorials on sewing pattern ideas I’m happy to see what I can do for her.
I’ve found that vintage dollhouses that have been well loved often come with a little box of tiny bits and bobs, and this one did not disappoint. Tiny lamps, baskets, a plant, and some handmade rugs were just some of the tiny treasures I discovered. I will have to show you those too, in a later post.
Anyway, I’ve gotta run. I hope you enjoyed my little project peek!
Have a lovely week my friend,
~ Jenna
