Little Coastal Cottage: Almost done!

Happy weekend all,

I’ve been wrapping up the last few details this week on the Little Coastal Cottage. It now has stairs and an antique looking railing and newel post to match! I painted them in a soft cream and a lovely grey, complete with an aged wash. I’m almost done with upstairs bedroom and bathroom trim. I need to add a pretty mirror above the sink still.

I still need to do some caulking downstairs on the staircase, but it’s looking so pretty and cozy in this tiny kitchen. The last touches will be a cupboard for dishes above the sink, and a little shelf or pot rack above the stove.

I just love this pretty little bedroom under the eaves. I can imagine cozying up in the fluffy bedcovers with the window thrown open all night; the stars twinkling in the sky and the waves and sea breezes lulling me to sleep.

I’m excited to get the kitchen finished up and the china displayed in the cupboard. Oh and the blinds still need to be installed on the windows. They will be a white linen and will add a charmingly soft look to each room. With all of the bright sun coming in off the water we definitely need a little filtering!

My next post will be of the finished cottage! I can hardly wait!
